Scaled Volume Production

Scaled Volume CNC Machining Production

From 100-piece pilot runs to multi-year production programs, Impulse Precision delivers repeatable, statistically controlled CNC machining at volume — without sacrificing the tolerances your prototype was built to.

Overview

Production Machining Built to Hold Tolerance at Volume

Scaling a part from a handful of prototypes to a production release is where most shops start cutting corners on process control. Impulse Precision runs scaled volume production on the same 5-axis platforms — Hermle, DMG Mori, Mikron, and Okuma — used for first-article work, with pallet systems, bar feeders, and fixture automation added to hold cycle time and repeatability across runs from a few hundred to many thousand pieces.

Every production program is set up with statistical process control, first-article inspection, and in-process CMM checks built into the run plan, so part 1 and part 10,000 hold the same tolerance band. Our programmers own the toolpath from prototype through production, eliminating the re-validation risk that comes with handing a job to a second shop.

  • Production runs from 100 to 100,000+ pieces
  • Statistical process control (SPC) on critical dimensions
  • Pallet systems and automation for consistent unattended cycles
  • In-process and final CMM inspection with full documentation
  • AS9100D-controlled production process from PO to shipment
  • Direct continuity from prototype program into production release
