Quality & CMM Inspection

In-House Quality Control & CMM Inspection Services

Every part we machine gets checked under the same roof it was cut on. In-house CMM inspection, first article reports, and SPC data mean no waiting on a third-party lab to release your parts.

Overview

Inspection Built Into the Same Process as Machining

Quality control isn't a separate step tacked onto the end of a job at Impulse Precision — it's built into the process from first article through final shipment. Our in-house CMM equipment lets us verify critical dimensions, GD&T callouts, and surface finish without shipping parts out to a third-party lab and waiting days for results. That means faster turnaround, tighter feedback loops between programming and inspection, and fewer surprises at final delivery.

Every program can include first article inspection reports (FAIR), statistical process control data on critical dimensions, and full material and process certification — formatted to match your program's documentation requirements, whether that's a simple dimensional report or a full AS9102 package.

  • In-house CMM inspection, no third-party lab delays
  • First article inspection reports (FAIR), including AS9102 format
  • Statistical process control (SPC) on critical dimensions
  • Material and process certification documentation
  • In-process inspection integrated into production runs
  • AS9100D and ISO 9001:2015 certified quality system
Our Capabilities

What Our Quality Team Delivers

Inspection capability scales with the complexity and volume of your program.

CMM Inspection

In-house coordinate measuring machine inspection for complex geometry and tight-tolerance features.

First Article Inspection

Full FAIR documentation, including AS9102-format reports, before production release.

SPC & Process Control

Statistical process control tracking on critical dimensions across production runs.

Documentation & Certs

Material certs, process certs, and inspection data delivered in your required format.

Inspection as a Service

CMM inspection, first article inspection, NDT/NDE, UV dye penetrant, X-ray, ultrasound, corrosion resistance testing, and dimensional inspection with full reports.

Materials

Inspection Expertise Across Every Material We Machine

Our inspection process accounts for how each material behaves dimensionally, so tolerance verification reflects real-world part performance.

Aluminum (6061, 7075, 2024)
Stainless & Alloy Steels
Titanium (Grade 5, Grade 2)
Inconel & Nickel Superalloys
Engineering Plastics (Delrin, PEEK, ABS)

Composites & Specialty Materials
Industries

Industries We Serve

In-house inspection matters most in industries where documentation and dimensional proof are as important as the part itself.

Aerospace / Defense / Aviation

AS9102 first article inspection and full traceability for flight-critical hardware.

UAV & UAS

CMM-verified dimensional inspection and documentation for unmanned systems airframe and payload components.

Medical Devices

CMM-verified dimensional data supporting regulated device documentation requirements.

Semiconductor Equipment

Tight-tolerance inspection for precision tooling and process equipment components.

Government & Prime Contractors

Full inspection documentation packages for programs requiring strict quality records.

Energy & Industrial

Dimensional verification and certification for long-service-life industrial components.

Robotics & Automation

CMM inspection supporting rapid iteration without sacrificing dimensional confidence.

Outdoors & Sporting Goods

Dimensional verification and certification for performance hardware machined to exacting tolerance.

Apparel & Consumer Goods

Inspection and documentation for tooling and components in apparel and consumer goods programs.
