Quality Assurance Inspector
Job Description-
Quality Assurance Inspector
Small and unique CNC Machine Shop is looking for the right Quality Inspector to help us grow.
We specialize in 5 axis milling, prototyping, and other challenging machining projects. We make really cool parts for some amazing customers – a lot of our components go into the air, or into space. Our team is small, dynamic, and highly skilled. We are seeking employees who want to learn and grow as the business and team develop around them. This could be a great opportunity for somebody who is looking for an environment where they will be empowered and encouraged to create positive impacts.
We are investing in quality equipment, and would like to invest in a quality workforce. This is a team environment. We work well together, and expect high performance from an additional team member at any skill level. Candidates will receive help and guidance as needed, but are ultimately expected to have the ability to self-motivate, self-direct, and manage their own workload. All of our employees are treated like professionals, and given much more freedom than a typical machine shop.
The Quality Inspector will be responsible for physically checking part conformance, interpreting drawings and requirements, and maintaining documentation for the Quality Management System (QMS). We have an AS9100 certification and compliant QMS in place, but the ideal candidate would be interested in taking ownership of the quality process, and leading the development of a stronger quality system.
Quality Inspector Duties:
physical inspection of machined parts
interpretation of customer supplied drawings and requirements such as GD&T and outside processing
maintenance of inspection tool calibration
completion of inspection documentation as required

willingness to physically and visually check parts with occasional production quantities
ability to manage time and workload with minimal oversight
brings a positive contribution to our culture
willing to engage in improvement activities
excited to learn and grow with the team
Requirements:
excellent communication skills
the ability to interpret technical documents
the ability to use quality lab tools to perform quality assurance on machined parts
Relevant Skills:
CMM programming
GD&T
basic CAD software (Solidworks)
Microsoft Excel
QMS administration
Perks:

flexible hours
